guidelines
rules of engagement are simple. the line between in-character and out-of-character isn't thin, thus it should be clear enough when you've possibly crossed it. remain respectful of those boundaries. all journals should be ic, without the addition of underscores, numbers, or excessive use of extra letters not contained within the character's name.
application process
with a game revolving around connections and relationships, each character that joins should have some type of intertwining relationship that connects back to the falconeri siblings. those include the following:

ELDEST SON:ANTHONY FALCONERI
MIDDLE SON:NAME
ELDEST DAUGHTER:ROSARIA FALCONERI
MIDDLE DAUGHTER:NAME
YOUNGEST DAUGHTER:ISABELLA FALCONERI

those connections can be in/through their spouses, friendships developed over time, business relationships fostered, the organization, or even employees within their legitimate businesseses. in order to promote creativity, limits are placed on the amount of characters that are directly involved within the mafia heirarchy (i.e. consigliere, underboss, capo, soldiers, enforcers ). there's no hard vetting process to apply for such positions, nor is it entirely discouraged. just know they are limited and as each fills, they will then be unavailable for new applicants. with your relationship chosen and plotted, make sure to have a backdated out-of-character and an in-character entry. within the out-of-character entry, do have a small blurb with basic information about your character. this should include basic information ( name, date of birth, hometown, etc ), how they're connected to the family, a brief history or information that should be known about them, and anything deemed vital to the character. along with that, we do require examples in the form of at least one narrative and one scene, or two narratives, either of which can be left in the DROPBOX.
acceptance/activity
after you're accepted into the game, the real fun begins. you can feel free to make an introduction post in our in-character community within 48 hours of your acceptances, though leeway is given if you need it. just drop a comment in the dropbox or ask. seeing as the community is meant to be small and fun, interactions among one another is a given. to promote that, there will be a community-wide event held every month to help foster new relationships between characters that might not otherwise meet. those events can be found here. if there are any events you would like to host, leave a note in the dropbox with details and we will be sure to add it to the list of events.

with that said, like many communities, a monthly update is required. that can come in the form of a scene, journal entry, letters, narratives, or other personal posts within your character's journal; open scenes that are posted within the in-character community; or closed/completed scenes that are shared within the in-character community. extensions are allowed. again, just ask or leave a quick comment to let the mods know. if you have any additional questions, feel free to leave it here and we will do our best to answer as promptly as possible. most of all, have a blast!
